Two Month Progress Report | Share aDay Challenge

It’s been two months since I started my Share aDay challenge, to buy a single share from a different S&P 500 company every day of the year.

Now, with stock in 61 different major US companies, things are off to a good start.

What is especially exciting about this month? I got my first dividends!

Even though these were all less than a dollar, they are real pay backs that stay with me, regardless of how the market moves.

Here is a full breakdown of my stocks and their performance over this month:

At a glance, my portfolio netted $50.49, with $2,274.86 invested in total.  That gives me an ROI of 2.22%.

Looking back at my progress report from last month, although my over all gains are up from $26.02, my overall ROI dropped from 3.29% to 2.22%.

This is because my portfolio is over twice the size as before, and of course, markets vary.

But remember – gain or loss, I am in this for the long run!

If you don’t know already, I have started my own investment journey to one day reach $1 million dollars.

I call it the “Share aDay Challenge”, in which I buy one share each day of the year from a different company on the S&P 500.

Stay in the Loop!

You can also follow my investment journey on Facebook and Twitter, and subscribe to Share aDay above for notifications of new tips, tricks and updates along the way.

Help Me on My Investment Journey

I am using an app called Robinhood because buying and selling stocks are completely free so I don’t need to factor outside expenses in like broker’s or trading fees.

If you want to help me out or are looking to start investing, you can use my Robinhood referral link: HERE.

This way we will both get a free stock, meaning I can save some money (and no, I am not being sponsored by them).

It is going to be an expensive year of investing ahead and every little bit helps.  Best of all, you can also get a free stock too!

It’s going to be a crazy year and who knows how things will end up, but I hope you can join me along the way!
